Library Marketing & Displays

I created all of the below marketing materials, graphics, and print resources in positions at two Wisconsin libraries: the Madison Public Library (MPL), where I was a marketing intern; and West Bend Library (WBL), where I was an adult services library associate.

Marketing Materials

I developed a marketing plan, designed social media graphics and a testimonials flier, and wrote social media copy to promote MPL’s partnership with Madison Writing Assistance (MWA). MWA is a UW–Madison initiative that invites the community to meet with trained graduate student Writing Center coaches:

At both MPL and WBL, I wrote a series of short posts advertising upcoming events and library resources:

Web & Social Graphics

  • Carousel Graphics: A selection of graphics I made to promote programs on the WBL homepage. These appeared on a rotating image carousel and were each accompanied by information about the program.
  • WBL Social Media Graphics: A selection of graphics I made to promote programs on the WBL Facebook and Instagram pages.
  • MPL Social Media Graphics: A selection of graphics I made to promote programs on the MPL social media pages and on digital displays in the libraries.

Adult Programming Fliers (Print)

I coordinated with all WBL library departments to produce monthly fliers with information about all of the upcoming adult programs.

Writing Resources (Print)

I researched, wrote, and designed printable guides to hand out during writing events I planned or facilitated at WBL.

Displays (Print)

I researched and wrote copy, designed graphics, and selected books for museum-style displays in the West Bend Library’s adult reading area. This is a selection of the monthly (and sometimes weekly) displays I created.
